There are other ways to skin a cat

It seems there is a lot of support for live music in unexpected places, especially for the young people. We're going to put on a show at The Elks, Saturday August 15th, doors opening at 630 show at 7pm and there will be give aways.  It'll be $4 at the door and it is all ages.  Two new groups from the "Kimberley Rock Academy" wil perform along with IN PURSUIT, so there will be a ton of great music.

We're happy to say that sponsors are supporting our effort and we thank them in advance here and for giving the kids a chance to play and show their stuff.  It takes a lot of work to put on a show, much less perform there.  Music is fun, for both performer and audience, but it is a lot of time effort and expense and we thank those who get and appreciate this.  Hope to see you there...Let's ROCK!

Steamboat Mountain Music Fest 2015

What an absolute gas, Steamboat was great.  We enjoyed it very much, hugely in fact.  We met so many great people and touched base with many old friends.  The festival is a class operation from start to finish and I hope we're invited back.  Our thanks to Larry, the other organizers, and the many volunteers for making our stay most enjoyable.

There were many excellent acts who performed, as well as many genres and styles.  We weren't the only family performing either.  Visit their site and get informed, it is a great atmosphere and just an excellent way to spend a day.

Band Camp, July and August 2015

If you're a young musician who has spent the winter taking lessons and honing your craft, here's your chance to get together with some other cats and put together a group.  We'll build a performance set that will focus on teamwork, playing in the right places, dynamics, segways, stage presence and a lot more.

We will also being learning the business of music, how to "put bums in the seats", marketing, recording, the internet and developing a site, promotion, fair trade play and when to play for free, what exposure really is, and tons more.  Camps will be 5 days of rehearsal and will include a performance at real venue.  Keep your eyes peeled for dates.  Let's ROCK!
